The shelter serves a hot dinner each evening when the shelter is open. Each dinner typically serves about 40 people.
We’re grateful to the many local restaurants and community groups who have volunteered in the past to provide a meal for the guests or to donate baked goods at the end of the day. Shelter volunteers pick up the food and deliver it to the shelter where it is served. If you are interested in supporting this effort, please contact the shelter coordinator indicating your willingness to help. A meal coordinator will contact you to arrange for a specific date.
Thank you again for your help during the 2014-2015 Code Blue season. If you haven’t yet participated we welcome you to help feed the needy in our local community during the harsh winter months.
We are looking for dinner meals to feed 30-40 people consisting of an entrée and two side dishes in aluminum chafing dishes that can be delivered or picked up. We can also always use fruit (bananas and oranges are favorites) single serve condiment packets, desserts and single serve milk and juice cartons.
